Do & Redo

In a joint project with INRED at the Iberian level, Verallia presented its institutional commitment to nature and society. Under the “Do & Redo” concept, we chose the International Clean Air Day for a blue sky, on September 7, to launch this initiative, which challenges all the stakeholders to change some practices, towards a more sustainable world . Specialists in the design, manufacture and recycling of glass packaging, Verallia provides healthy, aesthetic and sustainable solutions to 10,000 companies around the world, with a history stretching back more than 200 years. Reimagining glass for a sustainable future is now the focus of Verallia, which also presented one of its most iconic projects; the new bottle of the Soalheiro brand. In an ambitious and tailor-made project, Verallia conceived a new bottle for the iconic Soalheiro; in a solution that made it possible to reduce the carbon footprint of transport and production. This new bottle, which has 19% less glass in its production, also allows for an important reduction of almost 8.5 times in the impact of transporting the bottles from the factory (formerly in central Europe) to the final destination.
